Hull Kingston Rovers coach Chris Chester proud despite defeat to Leeds Rhinos

Hull KR coach Chris Chester believes that his team should be proud of their performance against Leeds Rhinos despite losing 36-16.

Hull Kingston Rovers coach Chris Chester has insisted that he is proud of his players despite their defeat to Leeds Rhinos.

The Robins gave the Super League leaders a scare at Headingley Carnegie on Friday night, but they were eventually beaten 36-16.

While admitting that Leeds were the better side overall, Chester believes that his team can take plenty of positives from their performance.

"They are a bit down but I've told them they should be proud of their performance," he told Sky Sports News. "There were a lot of great performances out there.

"It was a very brave and courageous performance from my boys. We're down on troops but we're not down on heart and desire. Credit to Leeds, though, they were probably the best team overall."

Hull KR return to action on May 30 when they face local rivals Hull FC at the KC Stadium.
