Warrington Wolves ease past Hull FC in Super League clash

Warrington Wolves ease past Hull FC in their Super League clash by recording a 46-16 victory.

Warrington Wolves secured a comfortable 46-16 victory in their Super League clash over Hull FC this afternoon.

The home side took the lead in the fifth minute when Kevin Penny found a gap in the line to race over for the try, but the visitors soon hit back through a score from Dean Hadley to level things up.

The Wolves got back into a rhythm and took the game to Hull as Gary Wheeler restored their advantage with a try, while Ben Currie extended their lead.

Penny notched his second score of the game when he raced over the line in the corner and Chris Sandow added the extras to hand his side a 22-6 lead at the break.

Warrington extended their advantage when Penny completed his hat-trick within 10 minutes of the restart, and the hosts began to find their full fluency going forward as Ryan Atkins crossed the line.

Wheeler scored his second try of the game in the 59th minute and Joel Monaghan notched another to put the game beyond doubt for the Wolves.

The visitors scored two late consolation tries as Mark Minichiello notched a brace in five minutes, but Monaghan secured the comfortable win for his side with a late score.
