Shaun Wane disappointed with "tough" Wigan Warriors defeat

Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane admits that his players are disappointed following their "tough" defeat to Leeds Rhinos in the Super League playoff semi-finals.

Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane has admitted that his side's late defeat to Leeds Rhinos in the Super League playoff semi-finals is a "tough" one to take.

The Warriors were leading 12-11 at the DW Stadium with two minutes left on the clock before Kevin Sinfield kicked over a penalty to send the defending champions into the Grand Final.

"It's a tough one. It's a really disappointed dressing room. We were not at our 100% best and we needed to be," Wane told Sky Sports News.

"They deserved to win. Kevin Sinfield is one of the best players there is and he burned us again."

Leeds will now take on either St Helens or Warrington Wolves in next Saturday's Grand Final at Old Trafford.
