Hooker Scalk Brits has been banned for three weeks after punching fly-half Owen Farrell during the match between the Barbarians and the British and Irish Lions in Hong Kong.
Brits was cited for striking Farrell after his Saracens club teammate was holding the South African's shirt in the Lions tour opener on Saturday, which the men in red won 59-8.
Referee Steve Walsh decided a sin-binning was sufficient at the time, telling the Barbarians player: "Because of the nature of the game it's only a yellow."
Judicial officer Steve Lewis decided that Brits's offence was mid-range but a possible five-week sanction was reduced to three because of "compelling mitigating factors".
Brits, 32, will now miss the first three Premiership games of next season for Saracens.
