Brian O'Driscoll says that the British and Irish Lions' second-half display against the Combined Country needed to be better on Tuesday.

British and Irish Lions centre Brian O'Driscoll has admitted that his side's performance against Combined Country was "a little bit flat" on Tuesday.

The Lions stormed to a 64-0 victory in Newcastle, scoring 10 tries, but were guilty of making a number of errors in the second half against the minnows.

O'Driscoll, who captained the side on the day, believes that the tourists are yet to put in a complete display.

"We probably got a little bit flat, depth-wise, and the accuracy of some of the passing suffered," O'Driscoll told BBC Sport.

"Balls were thrown behind when a little bit of depth might have made things an awful lot easier. That is one easy fix.

"We tried to kick on in the second half but it didn't really happen for us. It was difficult enough at times, and that was why some of the first-half stuff was so pleasing. But that is not to make excuses. We should have been able to kick on from there but we didn't."

The Lions face the Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday.
