Clermont Auvergne are through to the semi-finals of the Heineken Cup after beating Montpellier this afternoon.

Clermont Auvergne have sealed a place in the Heineken Cup semi-finals with a win over Montpellier at Stade Marcel Michelin.

The visitors started strongly, with Benoit Paillaugue kicking three early penalties, giving Montpellier a 9-3 lead.

However, Wesley Fofana and Aurelien Rougerie both scored tries towards the end of the first half to put the hosts ahead.

Further scores from Sitiveni Sivivatu and Lee Byrne after the break helped Clermont pull away from their opponents, opening up a 20-point advantage.

Napolioni Nalaga sealed the result with five minutes to play, adding the home side's fifth try to win the match.
