England captain Tom Mitchell has admitted that it is difficult to play "unknown opposition" following his side's opening two matches at the Commonwealth Games.
Mitchell scored four tries overall as England cruised past both Sri Lanka and Uganda in deteriorating conditions at Ibrox, setting up a straight shootout with Australia for top spot in Group D.
The top points scorer from the 2013-14 IRB World Series season acknowledged that it wasn't completely straightforward for his side in the latter match, but he was happy with the performance overall.
"It's difficult playing unknown opposition sometimes - there is a lot you've got to play off the cuff. They were difficult conditions out there so we're happy to get [the win]," Mitchell told Sports Mole.
England will face Australia in the penultimate match of the first day of rugby at the Commonwealth Games.
