England flanker James Haskell has admitted that he is delighted to start his first Six Nations match in two years against Ireland in Dublin on Sunday.
The 27-year-old, who has won 39 caps for his country, came off the bench during last weekend's win over Scotland at Twickenham.
"As a player there have been times, particularly under new coaches, when I've looked down the barrel of a gun in terms of not playing for England again. I never knew if I'd get an opportunity again," said Haskell.
"Running out to play for England is just as exciting as it ever was. I'll keep playing for as long as they want me."
Ireland opened their Six Nations campaign last weekend with a 30-22 victory against champions Wales in Cardiff.
