Stuart Lancaster: 'England should have beaten Scotland by a greater margin'

England head coach Stuart Lancaster admits that he was slightly frustrated that his side only scored three tries during Saturday's 20-0 Calcutta Cup win over Scotland.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has admitted that he was slightly frustrated that his side scored only three tries during Saturday's 20-0 Calcutta Cup win over Scotland.

The visitors controlled the game at Murrayfield and, although Lancaster was pleased with their performance, he has conceded that the margin of victory should have been greater.

"We were pleased with a lot of aspects, but are frustrated that we didn't convert more of our opportunities because we dominated the second half," Lancaster told reporters.

"There were chances there that we didn't take and we definitely have regrets over the points we left out there.

"We played some really good stuff in difficult conditions. Scotland had to defend desperately."

England's win moved them to second place in the Six Nations table, but they will drop to third if France avoid defeat to Italy later today.
