A spirited second-half display from Harlequins earned them a 40-13 victory over Biarritz in tonight's Heineken Cup Pool 3 clash at Twickenham Stoop.
The hosts went ahead after only eight minutes as Danny Care touched down following a quick break. Nick Evans added the extras to put Quins 7-0 in front.
Julien Peyrelongue kicked over a penalty on 19 minutes to get Biarritz on the board before Evans was replaced by Ben Botica after picking up an ankle injury.
Botica's first action was to score a penalty, but his side were pegged back to 10-10 soon after when Arnaud Heguy's try was converted by Peyrelongue.
Peyrelongue momentarily put Biarritz in front with another penalty, only for Botica to level the scores 13-13 at half time.
Harlequins improved dramatically after the break and landed a significant blow in the 45th minute when Rob Buchanan barged through to score. Botica again made the kick to give the home team a 20-13 advantage.
Botica's night got better with another two penalties, while Jordan Turner-Hall extended their lead when he went over following good work from Care and Nick Easter.
The win was sealed in the final two minutes as Seb Stegmann went over in the corner for a bonus-point try before Botica converted from the angle.
