The boot of Ryan Lamb gives Northampton Saints a convincing 24-3 win over Harlequins at Franklin's Gardens.
Saints went ahead against the run of play through Lamb's penalty before his drop goal doubled his side's lead with 20 minutes gone.
Ben Foden went down in the corner soon after to extend the hosts' lead, but Lamb was unable to make the conversion.
Another Lamb penalty stretched the home side's advantage, but Rory Clegg's penalty made the score 14-3.
However, Lamb would have the last say of the half as his penalty gave Northampton a 17-3 lead at the break.
Clegg could have got Quins back into the match after the restart, but he saw two penalties go wide of the posts.
Northampton struck the killer blow in the 65th minute when Roger Wilson touched down. Lamb was again on hand to kick the conversion.
The home side could have gone further ahead late on, but some wayward passing kept the scores as they were.
