Former All Blacks Andrew Mehrtens and Justin Marshall have joined the BBC for their Rugby World Cup coverage.

The online, radio and digital coverage will be led by World Cup winner Matt Dawson in a team that also includes ex-Australia full-back Matt Burke, and BBC regulars Jonathan Davies and Gavin Hastings.

Jeremy Guscott will continue to provide an online column for BBC Sport.

Marshall previously worked for BBC Wales's rugby programme Scrum V while he was playing for Saracens in the 2009-10 season. He also hosts his own segment on New Zealand channel SKY TV.

Mehrtens played in the 1995 World Cup and ended his career in England with Harlequins.
