Saracens remain second in the Aviva Premiership table with a 23-10 win over Sale Sharks at Vicarage Road.

David Strettle gave Sarries the lead after 20 minutes when he collected Charlie Hodgson's pass to touch down right of the posts. Owen Farrell kicked over the extras.

Farrell was on the scoreboard again soon after when he scored a penalty after an infringement at the break down.

Two more penalties were successfully kicked by Farrell after the interval, and the hosts got their second try of the day when Matt Stevens touched down after good work by Steve Borthwick from the lineout.

The Sharks finally opened their account with 10 minutes to play when Rob Miller scored a try. However, the conversion was not made.

The visitors scored again five minutes later after Nick Easter went over. Again, the kick was unsuccessful.
