Scotland wing Rory Lamont underwent surgery on his fractured leg earlier today.
The 29-year-old suffered the injury during his side's 23-17 loss to France in the Six Nations on Saturday.
"Rory is under the care of the orthopaedic surgeons at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. He was undergoing surgery this lunchtime to stabilise a fracture to his fibula," Scotland team doctor James Robson said in a Scottish Rugby statement.
The Scottish medical team are yet to put a date on when Lamont will be available for selection again.
