The defending champions, who were already through to the quarter-finals, took a narrow lead into half time, with the former England fly-half adding two penalties in the opening 40 minutes.

Wilkinson continued his solid afternoon with the boot, adding three more kicks in the first 20 minutes of the second half.

However, Chris Fusaro took advantage of a handling error by Toulon to pick up a loose ball and score the opening try of the match, bringing Glasgow back into contention.

Glasgow, though, were unable to reduce the French side's lead further, ensuring that Toulon finish the pool stage with just one defeat.
