Wales are confident that captain Sam Warburton will be passed fit for selection in time for Saturday's Six Nations fixture against France.
The 23-year-old missed his side's 24-3 win over Italy at the weekend with a knee injury.
However, forwards coach Robin McBryde has revealed that Warburton has stepped up his recovery and should be available for the Millennium Stadium clash.
"The news is very heartening in regards to Sam," said McBryde. "He's been running, albeit in straight lines, this week, so a little bit of side-stepping and off-line stuff at the start of next week and hopefully he'll react positively.
"He'll add to the depth that we've got to choose from next week."
Warburton has been absent for two Six Nations matches this year.
