Dean Ryan takes positives from Worcester Warriors defeat

Worcester Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan remains positive despite his side's 32-15 defeat to Leicester Tigers in their Aviva Premiership opener.

Worcester Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan has remained upbeat despite his side's defeat to Leicester Tigers in their Aviva Premiership opener.

The Warriors mounted a late comeback at Welford Road on Sunday, but it was not enough to stop them from slipping to a 32-15 loss against the champions.

"That first half showed a little bit of over-exuberance," Ryan told BT Sport. "I thought the second 40 minutes was a better representation of what we're trying to do."

Worcester stage their first home fixture of the season on Saturday when they welcome London Irish to Sixways Stadium.
