Sophie Taylor remains hopeful that she can come away from the women's 100m breaststroke final with a medal.
The Team England swimmer narrowly missed out on bronze in the women's 50m breaststroke earlier this week, while she failed to make the final of the 200m equivalent yesterday.
"After yesterday's disappointment of the 200m, I had to get my head together and pick myself up, and it's the fastest heat swim I've ever done so I can't be too disappointed," Taylor told reporters.
"I'll be in lane four for the semi-finals which is good. I'll be able to see everyone, but we'll see what happens – hopefully I can come away with a medal."
Taylor won two silvers and a bronze at the World Junior Championships in Dubai.
