Team England's Siobhan-Marie O'Connor wins gold in the women's 200m individual medley in Glasgow, breaking the Commonwealth Games record in the process.

Team England's Siobhan-Marie O'Connor has won the gold medal in women's 200m individual medley at the Commonwealth Games.

The 18-year-old broke the Games record to secure the Commonwealth title in a time of 2:08.21, winning her first gold medal in Glasgow after previously taking three silvers and one bronze.

O'Connor finished ahead of of Australia's Alicia Coutts, who took the silver medal, while Scotland's Hannah Miley won bronze in a time of 2:10.74.

There was disappointment for England's Aimee Willmott as she finished in fourth place and teammate Sophie Allen placed in sixth.
