Marcos Baghdatis has said that his impressive form is down to him 'going back to basics', after he beat 20th seed David Goffin in the second round of the Australian Open.
The 2006 finalist beat the Belgian 6-1 6-4 4-6 6-0 in a noteworthy display, and he later said that a change of attitude is the reason for his success.
He told reporters: "When you get lost in life, I think you should get back to basics. You have doubts in you, it happens to anybody in life. It was important for me to get back to basics and start from the beginning. I'm doing it right now and I'm enjoying it.
"I'm not at my best. I'm coming back, I feel younger and younger which is a good thing."
Baghdatis will next face 10th seed Grigor Dimitrov.
