French number one Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has declared himself disappointed with his performance during his straight-sets victory over Go Soeda on Thursday.
Tsonga appeared to be at his best as he powered his way to a 6-3 7-6(1) 6-3 win in just over two hours at the Australian Open.
However, the 27-year-old from Le Mans was unimpressed with his own efforts.
"I didn't play a good match," said Tsonga. "I didn't have the right attitude in this match.
"Hopefully I will be better in the next one and try to play my game more than I did today."
Tsonga will play Blaz Kavkic in round three after the Slovenian overcame wildcard James Duckworth in five sets.
