Rafael Nadal admits that his victory in the Indian Wells Masters final over Juan Martin del Potro was the most emotional of his career to date.

Rafael Nadal has admitted that his win at Indian Wells may be the most emotional of his career to date.

Nadal claimed his 22nd Masters title with an impressive victory over Juan Martin del Potro in the final today after coming back from a set down.

After spending seven months on the sidelines nursing a knee injury, Nadal conceded that returning to claim a title was a special experience.

He said: "Thank you to all my team who has been with me through a hard seven months, they were very important for me.

"This is one of the most emotional victories of my career. This is an amazing feeling to back here with all you, the support has been huge to make me feel like home.

"This has been an unforgettable week and a tournament I will always have great memories from."

Del Potro gave Nadal a scare in a hard-fought final that lasted more than two hours, but the Spaniard eventually triumphed 4-6 6-3 6-4.
