Roberto Bautista-Agut shocked by unseeded Jack Sock at Indian Wells

Jack Sock produces a shock at Indian Wells to claim a 3-6 6-3 6-2 victory over 15th seed Roberto Bautista-Agut in the third round.

Jack Sock has caused a shock in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open by beating 15th seed Roberto Bautista-Agut 3-6 6-3 6-2 at Indian Wells.

It was a promising start for the 22-year-old American, who broke in the fifth game of the opener as Bautista-Agut struggled in the longer rallies against his unseeded rival.

However, the Spaniard responded with two breaks of his own, and a surprising result did not appear to be on the cards as he claimed the first set.

Bautista-Agut's struggles on serve were clear as the two players traded breaks early in the second set, and Sock's attacking approach continued to put his rival under pressure.

Sock capitalised on Bautista-Agut's vulnerable serve to level the scores, and the advantage was with the home favourite when he broke in the opening game of the decider.

After overcoming his own difficulties on serve, Sock started to dominate in the longer rallies, and he broke once again to move into a commanding lead before holding his nerve to serve out for the match.
