Britain's Cameron Norrie defeats Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to reach the final of the Indian Wells Masters.

Soon-to-be British number one Cameron Norrie has booked his place in the Indian Wells Masters final with a two-set victory over Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov.

The 26-year-old stormed to a 6-2 6-4 win over his counterpart and will now take on Nikoloz Basilashvili or Taylor Fritz in the showpiece event.

Norrie is now set to knock Dan Evans off his perch as British number one, and the California finalist hailed the "biggest win" of his career on Saturday after reaching his maiden ATP Masters 1000 final.

Speaking to Amazon Prime following the semi-final victory, Norrie said: "I'm becoming more and more comfortable in Indian Wells and it is the biggest win of my career for sure.

"He made it difficult in the second set. I managed to serve well in those games and get through them. I think I had a very good gameplan today."

Norrie will now seek to claim just a second singles title from seven finals, with his first crown coming in Mexico's Los Cabas Open in July.
