Andrew Castle says that he is concerned that Andy Murray's back injury could hamper the Scotsman over the next few years.

Former British number one Andrew Castle believes that there is a chance that Andy Murray's back injury could be a long-term concern.

The Scotsman was forced to withdraw from the French Open in Paris, but is working towards a place at Wimbledon by competing at Queen's Club this week.

"When you say to anybody in sport there's a back issue then that is a bit of a worry," BBC Sport quotes Castle as saying. "I just hope that we're not denied him over the next three or four years because of this injury.

"He's top seed at Queens Club this week and he should regain some form and belief. I think he will move heaven and earth to actually play and that would include injections for Wimbledon. That's not ideal, but he might need them."

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal clinched his eighth French Open title by beating David Ferrer in straight sets yesterday.
