Former world number seven Thomas Johansson agrees to join David Goffin's coaching team on a temporary basis.

David Goffin has hired Thomas Johansson as a coaching consultant.

Thierry van Cleemput will continue to coach the world number 16 on a permanent basis, with Swede Johansson working as a member of the team on a part-time agreement.

"I am very happy to announce a new member in my team. Thomas will work with me and my coach a couple of weeks during the year," Goffin said in a statement.

"I am very excited to start with this extended structure when I play in Rotterdam."

During his playing career, 40-year-old Johansson reached a career-high seventh in the world rankings.
