Andy Murray's first ATP Tour match since September will be against a player ranked outside of the world's top 2,000.
Wimbledon champion Murray has been drawn against wild card Mousa Zayed in the first round of the Qatar Open.
The duo, who are separated by 2,095 places in the ATP World Rankings, will go head-to-head on Tuesday.
Murray, who has been recovering from back surgery, has not played on Tour since losing 6-4 6-3 6-2 to Stanislas Wawrinka in the quarter-finals of the US Open.
However, he made his comeback on the exhibition circuit earlier this week, losing 7-5 6-3 to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, before beating Wawrinka 6-3 6-4.
