Tomas Berdych has powered to a three-sets victory over Andreas Seppi to book his place in the quarter-finals of the Amro World Tennis Tournament.
The third seed required a little under one hour and 30 minutes to progress through 6-0 3-6 6-3 on the Centre Court in Rotterdam.
A straightforward opening set saw the Czech break his opponent's serve on three occasions to ease into an early lead without dropping a single game.
It was a different case in the second, though, Seppi holding well to level things up overall despite squandering one set point before seeing off Berdych.
A single break proved to be enough for Berdych in the decider, coming out on top in a decisive fourth game to eventually see out the match in spite of Seppi's battling efforts to rescue one match point in a tightly-contested eighth game.
Gael Monfils now awaits in the next round.
