Defending champion Roger Federer booked his place in round two of Wimbledon thanks to a 6-3 6-2 6-0 victory over Victor Hanescu this afternoon.
The world number three made some early inroads when he broke his Romanian opponent at the first time of asking and from that moment onwards, Federer controlled the contest on Centre Court.
Another break followed as he wrapped up the first set, before two quickfire breaks in the second set left the Swiss player on the cusp of victory.
The third and decisive set proved to be the most comfortable of all for the seven-time champion, who recorded a triple break on his way to securing his spot in the next round.
He will now take on Ukraine's Sergiy Stakhovsky for a place in round three.
