Maria Hoefl-Riesch cools downhill jump concern

Maria Hoefl-Riesch says that she is not too concerned about the jump on the downhill that some of her fellow competitors complained about on Thursday.

German skier Maria Hoefl-Riesch has said that the jump on the downhill event during training in Sochi was "okay" for her.

Training on Thursday was temporarily halted because of complaints of the jump being too high.

"It was okay, not all the turns were perfect," Hoefl-Riesch told reporters. "We had been advised to slow before the jump but it was not necessary for me because I messed up the turn before and was slow anyway!"

Hoefl-Riesch was sixth-fastest in training.
