Chicago Bears coach John Fox and general manager Ryan Pace have refused to take the opportunity to give quarterback Jay Cutler votes of confidence.
The pair were speaking during their media sessions on Wednesday, and Fox doesn't appear to have made a decision on Cutler's future yet.
"We're not up against a deadline," Fox told reporters, according to ESPN.
"My experience has always been that you need to gather the information, and in turn, you usually make better decisions. We're in that process, and we'll keep you posted."
Fox added that part of the reason no decision has been made yet is due to the fact that he still wants to get to know his signal-caller better.
Pace echoed his sentiments, and insisted that they were going through the process of "figuring him out as a person".
