Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley is adamant that he wants to complete a full NFL season for the first time in his career.
Fairley was selected 13th overall in the 2011 draft but has struggled with injuries since his arrival at the Lions despite impressive bursts when he has been fit.
He told reporters: "That's one of my main focuses, one my big goals is to make it through all 16 this year.
"That's what me, coach Kris [Kocurek] and coach [Jim Washburn] are sitting down and doing.
"They're really just helping me stay in the weight room with [the strength and conditioning coaches], working on my body and continuing to stay in shape."
Last season Fairley registered 5.5 sacks before he injured his shoulder late in the campaign.
