Mike Conley has insisted that the protective mask that he wore on his return to action with the Memphis Grizzlies did not affect his eyesight.
The point guard missed more than a week while recovering from facial surgery after being left with multiple fractures when he took an elbow to the face in the series win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
After leading the team with 22 points in the 97-90 win over the Golden State Warriors, Conley told ESPN: "My eyesight was pretty good. I didn't have too many times where I felt like my vision was impaired by looking too fast or the mask getting in the way.
"It does get hot. I had to open it up a few times and let the sweat come down and let the steam out a little bit.
"A little tired, I'm not going to lie. The cramping at the end of the game is just a fact I haven't played. I didn't drink a lot of water. Other than that, I felt good."
The Grizzlies are unbeaten in this year's playoffs when Conley has been fit enough to play.
