Gregg Popovich warns San Antonio Spurs against complacency

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich warns his side against getting too complacent as the franchise prepares for the forthcoming NBA season in October.

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has revealed that the only worry he has over his side is that they might feel satisfied having claimed the NBA championship last season.

The franchise used their heartache from the 2013 finals to push home and secure a comfortable victory over the Miami Heat earlier this year, but Popovich has suggested that his side should not take things for granted.

"I'm worried for one reason. They are human beings. They are going to feel satisfied," Popovich told reporters, according to Fansided.

The Spurs will get the new campaign underway on October 28 when they take on the Dallas Mavericks.
