Phil Taylor has conceded that he must improve his form ahead of tomorrow night's Premier League meeting in Birmingham.
The 16-time world champion will face leader Michael van Gerwen, with a victory required if he is to stand any realistic chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
However, to claim the much needed win against the Dutchman, the 54-year-old has admitted that he must cut out the mistakes.
"My doubles have got to improve now, I've got no choice. I'm throwing silly points away," he told the PDC's official website.
"I did it against Stephen Bunting and against Adrian Lewis and I shouldn't be doing it, not with my experience. I've just got to get my head down and get stuck in. The two points could be massive."
Taylor has lost five of his 13 Premier League matches in 2015.
