Arsenal to face Sporting Lisbon in Europa League

Arsenal will face Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon in the group stages of the Europa League.

Arsenal have been drawn to face Sporting Lisbon in the group stages of the Europa League.

The Gunners reached the semi-finals of the competition last season, and Unai Emery's side have been given a test in the form of the Portuguese side.

Pot three featured some strong teams, and the North London outfit have been presented with a trip to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag FK.

Arsenal have also been given a lengthy trip to face Ukrainian side Vorskla Poltava, who finished in third place in their domestic league last season.

The first matchday will take place on September 20.
