Alexandre Lacazette: 'Unai Emery very different to Arsene Wenger'

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette claims that it is impossible to compare Unai Emery with Arsene Wenger as they are two completely different coaches.

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has claimed that current boss Unai Emery and former manager Arsene Wenger are completely different types of coaches.

Lacazette inspired Arsenal to their first win under Emery on Saturday, coming off the bench at half time to help the Gunners recover from a goal down and beat London rivals West Ham United 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

The French striker has had to make do with substitute appearances in all three of Arsenal's Premier League games so far, but he is confident that he offers a different option to any other striker at the club.

"The manager just told me to play my game and said we will win if I play well. There is a lot of difference under the new manager. You can't really compare the two coaches - they are their own men when it comes to football," Lacazette is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

"Even if the aim is still to play and hurt the opposition with the ball, there are some big differences. I knew I could help the team. What I do is different to everyone else. I just want to play and help my team all the time.

"When you come off the bench you have to be ready for your teammates, it is what I tried to do and obviously it helped us to get the win."

Arsenal are back in action on Sunday when they take on Cardiff City in South Wales.
