Real Madrid are reportedly ready to do battle with rivals Atletico Madrid for the signature of Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The former Lyon man has found his shooting boots again in recent weeks with four goals in his last four Premier League outings, but he has now entered the final 18 months of his Gunners contract.
Amid reports that Lacazette does not enjoy the best of relationships with manager Mikel Arteta, Atletico have been linked with a swoop for a player that Diego Simeone supposedly rates very highly.
However, according to AS, Atletico's rivals Real Madrid are also keen to strike a deal for the France international with Luka Jovic seemingly heading for the exit door.
Arteta has now seen three of his recognised strikers linked with moves away recently, with Eddie Nketiah reportedly a target for West Ham United, while three clubs are allegedly queuing up to sign Folarin Balogun.
Lacazette has scored nine goals and set up one more for the Gunners during the 2020-21 campaign, winning one FA Cup in his three-and-a-half years at the Emirates Stadium.
