Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has revealed that he plans to hold contract talks with Marc Albrighton.
The 24-year-old winger, who joined the Premier League club in 2009, is due to be a free agent in the summer.
However, Lambert is confident that he can tie down the youngster to a new deal at Villa Park.
"I'll definitely sit down and talk to him," the Scot is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
"It's just the way things have worked out with games, his injuries, one after the other, but I know he's out of contract, so I'll sit down with him.
"Every time he has come on for me he has done well. He's just been really unlucky with his injuries which have kept him out for a long spell."
Albrighton has made 11 appearances for Villa so far this season.
