Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Atletico Madrid

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona will be looking to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they welcome Atletico Madrid to the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday night.

The Spanish champions were held to a 2-2 draw by Celta Vigo on Saturday afternoon, meaning that they have now drawn two of their last three La Liga fixtures.

Real Madrid will have the chance to return to the summit when they face Espanyol on Sunday evening, placing huge pressure on Barca as they prepare to welcome Diego Simeone's side.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Atletico, who have been in impressive form since the league's restart.

Dembele has struggled with injuries throughout the season, making just five La Liga appearances and nine in all competitions. The Frenchman has been out since the end of November with his latest hamstring issue, and he will not be able to return for the Spanish champions until next season.

Possible return date: June 30 (vs. Atletico)

Roberto has missed Barca's last three games with a rib injury, but the right-back is currently undertaking individual sessions and could be available for the clash with Atletico, having allegedly been close to taking part against Celta on Saturday afternoon.

Frenkie de Jong

Possible return date: July 7 (vs. Espanyol)

De Jong is expected to miss Barca's next two league matches as he continues to battle a calf problem. The Netherlands international could return against Espanyol on July 7, although it remains to be seen how his recovery progresses over the next couple of weeks.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barca were missing key midfielder Sergio Busquets against Celta due to a one-game ban, but the Spain international will be available for this game, and the club do not have any other suspension concerns.
