Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele reportedly becomes the first victim of Xavi's fines system after turning up for training three minutes late.

Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele has reportedly been hit with a fine for turning up late to a training session.

Following the confirmation of former midfielder Xavi as Ronald Koeman's successor, the Blaugrana have reportedly been given 10 strict rules to follow.

Players are supposedly required to report for training 90 minutes early as one of Xavi's policies, and the 41-year-old is also believed to have brought back fines.

According to The Mirror, Dembele turned up three minutes late for Friday's morning session and will therefore be slapped with a fine, days after Xavi talked up the Frenchman's qualities.

Dembele is yet to commit his future to the Blaugrana beyond 2022, but Xavi is hopeful that an agreement can be reached for the 24-year-old to remain at Camp Nou.

Dembele has only played 25 minutes of football this season due to injury, coming off the bench against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.
