Birmingham boss Chris Hughton insists that he is not thinking of the club's problems off the field and is completely focused on the playoffs.

Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton has insisted that he is completely focused on leading his side into the Premier League via the playoffs following their 2-0 win over champions Reading this afternoon.

The Blues recently failed to publish their 2010-11 accounts on time, meaning that the club could be unable to strenghten their squad until late July.

Hughton, however, is eager to ensure that the club's focus remains solely on securing promotion.

"At the moment the thought of playing in the two playoffs is taking up 100% of my thoughts," said the former Newcastle boss.

"We know there is an issue but it is not on my mind at the moment.

"There is an emphasis from everyone at the club to try and get through to the final and get back into the Premier League. That will take up all of our efforts."

Birmingham's victory today ensured that they finished the season fourth in the Championship table and will face fifth-placed Blackpool in the playoff semi-final.
