Brentford have completed the signing of Charlton Athletic defender Ezri Konsa for an undisclosed fee.
Konsa has spent the last two seasons establishing himself as one of the most highly-regarded prospects outside of the top two tiers of English football, and both Liverpool and Everton were said to hold an interest in the 20-year-old.
However, the England Under-20 international has chosen to continue his progress in the Championship with Brentford, who have given the youngster a three-year contract.
Brentford boss Dean Smith told the club's official website: "We are really pleased to have completed the signing of Ezri. He was much sought after and we are very happy that he has chosen us to continue his development. It is a really exciting signing for us because of his age, potential and attitude.
"He has played a lot of games at League One level and his potential is unlimited. Having spoken to many people who have worked with him at both club and international level, and having watched him numerous times, the coaching staff are all looking forward to working with him over the next three years."
Konsa leaves Charlton having made 86 appearances for the Addicks in all competitions.
