Sean Dyche understands Lee Williamson red card

Sean Dyche understands Lee Williamson's decision to commit a foul Danny Ings in the final minute of Burnley's 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche believes that his team did enough to win this afternoon's Championship encounter with Blackburn Rovers.

The Clarets were on course for victory at Turf Moor thanks to Junior Stanislas's 74th-minute goal, but they were denied three points when Jordan Rhodes scored his fifth of the season.

"I think there's a disappointment because they know they've done enough again," PA quotes Dyche as saying.

"In all the games against Blackburn since I've been manager I think we've done enough in every game to win it."

Rovers defender Lee Williamson was sent off for bringing down Danny Ings as he bore down on goal in the final minute of the game, which provoked an angry reaction from the home fans.

When asked about the incident, the 42-year-old replied: "If you are a fan, you don't ideally want to see that because you presuppose our lad's going through to score a goal.

"Players have to make decisions and, that late in the game, I would suggest it's a good decision on their part."

Burnley sit fifth in the table following today's fixtures.
