Roberto Di Matteo says that Chelsea players have the DNA for special occasions.

Roberto Di Matteo has fired a warning at Chelsea's potential Champions League final opponents by stating that his players have shown that they have the "DNA" for the big occasions.

The Italian praised his side for reaching the final in Munich after a difficult season and said that his players deserve to be there.

"We haven't lost over two legs against Barca," he said. "We deserve to be in the final. I'm very happy and pleased for the players because they deserved this moment.

"We've had a difficult season but we seem to always get something special out when we need to. I think that is part of the DNA of these players."

The Blues now await Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the final on May 19.
