Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is reportedly facing six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

It was initially thought that the former Real Madrid star would be fit to return to action after the international break on October 14, but latest reports suggest otherwise.

The Spanish Football Federation has confirmed that Morata will miss the nation's World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Israel after suffering a grade two tear during Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last Saturday.

According to The Mirror, the injury is likely to keep Morata on the sidelines for at least a month, but could extend to around six weeks.

The forward has been in positive form for the English champions, scoring six Premier League goals and one in the Champions League so far.
