Chelsea injury, suspension news and return dates for Newcastle United EFL Cup clash

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's EFL Cup fourth round tie against Newcastle United.

Chelsea are back in action on Wednesday evening when they square off against Newcastle United in the EFL Cup fourth round.

The two teams will be meeting for the second time in the space of three days, the Blues prevailing 2-1 in Sunday's Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge.

On this occasion, though, Enzo Maresca will take his squad - a much-changed one at that - to St James' Park to face a Magpies team that Eddie Howe has already acknowledged will not feature so many alterations.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their long trip to the North-East as they bid to move closer to a second successive appearance in the final.
