Former Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique is believed to be the leading candidate to replace Antonio Conte in the Chelsea dugout.

Chelsea have reportedly put former Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique at the top of their wishlist to replace Antonio Conte.

The current Blues manager is thought to be in danger of the sack due to an underwhelming defence of their Premier League title and public criticism of the club's transfer policy.

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri and Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone have both been linked with the Chelsea hotseat but the duo have two years to run on their respective deals.

Enrique, meanwhile, is not tied down to a club at present and, according to the Mail on Sunday, is now the leading candidate to replace the Italian at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard won two La Liga titles and the Champions League in three seasons at Camp Nou.
