Report: Chelsea want Massimiliano Allegri as next boss

A report claims that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants Juventus boss Massimiliano Allergi to become the club's new head coach this summer.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri as their leading managerial target.

The Blues won the 2014-15 Premier League title under Jose Mourinho, but the Portuguese has since departed Stamford Bridge, with Guus Hiddink now leading the team until the end of the campaign.

Hiddink is unlikely to stay beyond the summer, however, leaving Chelsea with the task of appointing a new first-team head coach.

According to The Sun, Allegri has been contacted by the Premier League club and the Italian is open to a move to the Premier League.

The 48-year-old has won two Serie A titles - one with AC Milan and one with Juventus - and also led his current side to last season's Champions League final.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and soon-to-be unemployed Pep Guardiola, currently in charge of Bayern Munich, have also been linked with the position in London.
