Agent: 'Baba Rahman agrees to join Chelsea'

Baba Rahman's agent says that the Augsburg defender wants to join Chelsea but reveals that negotiations between the clubs remain ongoing.

The agent of Augsburg defender Baba Rahman has revealed that his client has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, claiming that both clubs only have to agree on a transfer fee now.

The Premier League champions are said to have identified the 21-year-old as a replacement for left-back Filipe Luis, who recently re-joined Atletico Madrid after one year at Stamford Bridge.

Last week it was reported that the clubs had struck a £17.5m deal for the Ghana international, but his representative Sascha Empacher says that negotiations are ongoing.

He told Bild: "It is only the clubs that have to find an agreement. We on our side are agreed."

The player's contract expires in 2019.
